Rugby League World Club Challenge Winners List, past champions, History since 1976.





 The Rugby League World Club Challenge is an annually held competition between the winners of the Australian NRL and the European Super League.

 The first match was played in 1976 but did not become a regular fixture until the late 1980s.
 It was also punctuated in the 1990s by the Super League war but has been held every year since 2000.

The most successful team is Sydney Roosters who won the Most titles of Rugby League World Club Challenge with FIVE times, followed by Wigan Worriers with FOUR titles, Leeds, Melbourne, Bradford Bulls they all have won the title 3 times.

The Sydney Roosters are the previous champions of  World Club Challenge Rugby League 2020 def. the St Helens.

St Helens is the current winners, having won his first title since 2007 World Club Challenge by beating the Penrith Panthers with final scores 13 – 12 in the 2023 Rugby League Final ...

Who won the 2023 Rugby League World Club Challenge.?



St Helens upset National Rugby League champions Penrith to become the first Super League side to win the World Club Challenge in Australia since 1994.

Lewis Dodd kicked the winning drop-goal in golden-point extra time after the Panthers fought back from 12-0 down.

Super League champions Saints led 10-0 at the break thanks to Jack Welsby's try and a second from Konrad Hurrell.

Mark Percival added a penalty but Penrith hit back to level through Izack Tago and Brian To'o's last-gasp score.
