The 8th edition of Men's & Women's Beach handball world championships was held in Kazan, Russia. 
 In this recent edition was held in Kazan (Russia), and crowned Brazil as champions defeating defending champions Croatia by 2–0 in the final of men's beach world championship. Debutants Greece claimed a title in women's Beach handball championship by defeating Norway in the final by 2–1.
