The Bandy World Championship is a International tournament among the national bandy teams of the world . It is organized by Federation of International Bandy ( FIB ).
It is different from Bandy World Cup because WC is the Club bandy competition.
The 1st ever Bandy World Championship is played in 1957 in Moscow (Russia) between the 4 national teams, Women's Bandy Championship inaugurated in 2004 & held biannually.
The tournament was held biannually from 1961-2003 & from 2003 it is played annually.
Soviet Union is the most dominant Bandy team in the world championship having won the most titles of World Championship with 14th times till 1989, & as a Russia have won the Gold medal wins with 10th time, Sweden Bandy team have won the World Championship 12th times, Finland 1 time in 2004...
