  • Al-Hilal has won the Most Asian Champions League titles ahead of ACL of Korean club Pohang Steelers in AFC Champion League with four times since the Asian Champion league Inaugurated in 1967.

Urawa Reds beat the defending champions Al-Hilal 1-0 on Saturday to win the 2022-23 Asian Champions League title for a third time.

A week after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Riyadh, Andre Carrillo's own goal handed the Japanese squad a 2-1 aggregate win at Saitama Stadium.

In the absence of the significant Salem Al-Dawsari, the defending champion Al-Hilal, who was vying for a record sixth continental crown, had the majority of the possession but was unable to generate enough clear chances. The international from Saudi Arabia scored in the first leg before being sent off and suspended.

The Saudi Arabian team made a good start, and in the fourth minute, Odion Ighalo's attempt from the line was cleared by Urawa's Danish defender Alexander Scholz. Mohamed Kanno missed with a shot in the first half, and Carrillo caused Shusaku Nishikawa of Urawa to make a diving save.

Shinzo Koroki, the first-leg striker for Urawa, came close to scoring after 30 minutes when he volleyed from close range against the crossbar.

The majority of the 53,574 spectators were brought to their feet three minutes after the restart. Defender Marius Hoibraten of Norway headed a free-kick across the goal. The ball was spinning in the wind when Al-Hilal custodian Abdullah Al-Mayouf misjudged it, and it bounced off Carrillo and into the goal.
